I am applying for an appointment because I have special abilities, knowledge, experience, expertise and passion
for art and design, community building, and social impact.
In my professional roles, I have personally lead many design and artistic projects of various scales. I have also
served as a professor for School of Architecture Design Studio Courses, developed curriculum for an Honors
College Global Citizen design/build course, and digital fabrication courses. I have worked closely with emerging
and established artists and designers and consulted with museums for cultural programming including Frost
Science Museum, Museum of Discovery and Science, Wolfsonian Museum, and The Bass Museum.

opportunities for students to experiment with scientifically important questions and contribute to

partnership with Moonlighter FabLab, leveraged its partnership with NASA Kennedy Space
Center to design, equip, and operate an inclusive and interactive scientific research workspace.
The makerspace will provides visitors of all ages an opportunity to contribute to identifying
solutions to food production issues. Preparation of the Growing Beyond Earth Innovation Studio
involved equipping the space with state-of-the-art tools and materials for designing and
monitoring growing experiments, installing plant growing equipment, and furnishing the space
to maximize experimentation, collaboration, and learning. The garden invited K-12 students,
families and casual visitors to collaborate on plant science experiments, allowing them to
address questions relevant to current NASA research on food production aboard spacecraft, and
within habitats on the surface of Mars.
