ABOUT ANDY
"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor and so me
style" - Maya Angelou.
I truly care about people ... almost as much as I care about the planet. My friends accuse me of having a kind heart, being thoughtful
and living each day by an admirable moral code. Yes, I sometimes wear my emotions on my sleeves and can be impatient, but no
one will give more effort to a focused task. I proudly wear my green ring pin as a volunteer and certified speaker on the science of
Climate Change for the Climate Reality Leadership Corps. Have been the Chair of the South Florida chapter since 2021. As a
volunteer, I have delivered over 250 volunteer Climate presentations in the past two decades educating people on the science, t he
math and geo-political complex topics.
My passion for learning is voracious. My attention to detail can be annoyingly focused. Sometimes working with me is like liv ing a
recap of what was done and needs to get done asap for a customer or a project. I try to lead by example and most weekends you
will find me volunteering at a Beach CleanUp, helping with circular economy initiatives – like composting or recycling or trying to
forward initiatives that will protect our water ecosystem.
The Economist is my "go to" digital app for news and perspective, McKinsey is the "go to" news feed in my personal Inbox on
complex frameworks. I thrive on 'getting stuff done' --- the more complicated and difficult the better ... and absolutely love when
someone tells me that it's too hard and yet I can see even a partial 'road map' in my mind to achieving it.
