Title: Private Tutor
Job Duties: As a Professional Tutor, I evaluate Students and create a
customized study plan, tailored to the strengths, weaknesses, and learning style of
each individual Student. Many students may require assistance with English as a
second language (ESL), English Literature and Composition, American
Government, US History, Black History, World History, Philosophy, etc.
The Parents of the Students are also included in this process. I conduct
parent / student meetings after each class in order to ensure parental participation.
Ultimately, the parent is the primary academic manager of the student. Concepts in
time management and study habits are also as a part of the Academic Plan.
Primarily, I work with families and business professionals in Miami Beach
and the surrounding areas. I also coach and prepare students to the U.S. Citizenship

Title: Support 2
Job Duties: In my first phase of my Apple Journey following the completion
of training, I worked in the PZ (Product Zone). During my time as a student, I
developed a Basic Level of Proficiency in Spanish (Reading / Speaking), French
(Reading / Speaking) and Mandarin (Reading / Speaking). This has been
useful in several instances.
During my second phase of my Apple Journey, which began January of
2020, I left my Role at the Product Zone and worked as an Avenues Champion.
The experience was different in the sense that it felt more personalized, in terms of
the volume of interactions that were processed in the PZ (Product Zone). There
was an increased level of problem-solving. I enjoyed the fact that were we able to
suggest and provide unique options and solutions for our guests.
One of the things that I truly enjoyed the most was creating “Cold
Conversions”. The Customer who walks into the store, avoids eye-contact, or has
defensive body-language, and states, “I’m not buying anything today / I’m just
looking” and ends up making a purchase after a positive interaction, is a Cold
Conversion.
The third phase of my Apple Journey began in October of 2020 as Support
II. This was certainly a busy and stressful time for all of us at Apple as we trained
and worked from home throughout the pandemic. I think that this may have been
an advantage, in the sense that we were forced to learn quick and to be light on our
feet. It helped to foster growth in every one of us.

Title: Recreation Leader
Job Duties: As a Recreation Leader, my job was focused on two main
objectives. They are instructing physical fitness classes and recreation planning.
"Troops for Fitness" is a program in which Miami-Dade County has worked in
tandem with Coca-Cola to hire Veterans as fitness instructors. This very rewarding
program which has allowed me to give-back, to urban inner-city residents.
Endurance, strength, and mobility are the three keys to physical fitness.
The classes I teach work on these three respectively. We also focus on nutrition
and body mass index as a means of bolstering results. One of the best things about
this job is the location. It is in the heart Miami, Florida.
Some of the recreational activities I have coordinated, allowed for group
exercise classes in truly beautiful settings. In addition to helping the participants
develop strength, endurance, and mobility, we also encourage mental wellness. In
my role as Recreation Leader, I organized trips to Miami Beach as well as Historic
Virginia Key surrounding islands. For some, it was their very first-time visiting
Miami Beach, despite being born and raised in Miami-Dade County.
