In 2014, I was appointed to the National Council for the Arts by President Obama, and confirmed unanimously in
the United States Senate, I am still serving in this role. Being on the National Council continues to provide vital
insights into the nations arts ecology and specifically the role of the arts and human learning. Additionally, I just
finished serving for 6 years on the Miami Beach Cultural Arts Council, where I chaired the last two years. I have
been allowed tremendous insight into the trends at the National and Local level and would love to continue
serving the growing healthy ecology of Miami Beach.

governmental agencies or authorities.

Acknowledgement of fines/suspension for Board/Committee Members for failure to comply with
Miami-Dade County Financial Disclosure Code Section 2-11.1(i)(2)
I understand that no later than July 1, of each year all members of Boards and Committees of the City of Miami
Beach, including those of a purely advisory nature, are required to comply with Miami-Dade County Financial
Disclosure Requirements.
One of the following forms must be filled with the City Clerk of Miami Beach, 1700 Convention Center Drive,
Miami Beach, Florida, no later than 12:00 noon of July 1, of each year:
