013-1996 DM DEPARTMENT MEMORANDUM NO. 13-1996 TO: All Department Directors FROM: Jose Garcia-Pedros] City Manager DATE: March 22, 1996 SUBJECT: USE OF THE 4TH FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOMS As you know, construction of the first-floor conference room has been completed. We are now adding such things as plants and some artwork to make a very nice and open room into something even more attractive. It is therefore important that, to the maximum extent possible, all board and committee meetings capable of being scheduled in that first-floor conference room be so scheduled, as was contemplated when the room was designed, instead of using the rooms on the fourth floor. The fourth-floor conference rooms should continue to be used for meetings involving persons on the fourth floor (e.g., Capital Improvements/Finance Committee, Budget Advisory Committee, and Audit Committee, involving several Commissioners and/or members of the Administration). It should also be noted that access to the first-floor conference room does not require access to the building itself, thereby enhancing security.
