SUBJECT: LETTERS REGARDING BUILDING DEPARTMENT PROCESS
Several letters have been received regarding the efficiencies achieved in the Building Department
as a result of improved staffing levels and several initiatives undertaken by the Business Resolution
Task Force (BRTF). Albeit processes can still be streamlined, and we continue to look at process
improvements, the attached letter provides a succinct and independent observation regarding the
permitting process.

should note that I feel the department is currently run mora QfficiQntly than eith9l'
the Miami-Dade County Building Departments,
The efficiency that I am speaking of deals With the permitting process - How long j
be reviewed by the processors. I find that if the plans are complete the process
the plans are not complete the process may seem arduous, but the plans process
ll1eir jobs. This is my honest opinion.
