LETTER TO COMMISSION

SUB,IECT: Police Department Transfers
This Letter to the Commission is to advise of the transfers of five staff members to new assignments
in the Police Department.
The transfers were accomplished to provide a varied and more enriching job experience to these
employees which will enhance their contributions to the Police Department. These reassignments
will not affect new initiatives and programs currently in place. Consistent with my performance
objectives for Fiscal Year 01, these reassignments will enhance the capacity of the organ'~zation and
strengthen the professional development of our police staff.
Captain Anthony Pizzo has been transferred from the command of the South District to
command the Property and Evidence Unit.
Captain James Mazer has been transferred from the command of the Strategic Investigations
Unit to command the Business Resources Unit.
Captain Charles Garabedian has been transferred from the command of the Business
Resources Unit to command the North District Sub-Station.
Captain C arlos Noriega has been transferred from the command of the Property and Evidence
Unjt to command the South District.
Captain Thomas Skinner has been transferred from the command of the North District to
command of the Strategic Investigations Unit.
