CONSTRUCTION DAMAGE TO MIAMI BEACH MARINA TENANTS
Please be advised that the Miami Beach Marina reported construction damage to several marina
vessels as a result of the adjacent construction ofthe Murano Tower. This issue will be the subject
of an article in the Neighbors section of the Miami Herald on Thursday, May 17,2001.
The City's Building Department staff is inspecting the site to ensure the contractor has properly
secured the site and assured the safety of the adjacent areas. Concurrently, the developer, the Related
Companies, has issued a demand letter to the contractor to put up netting to cover the dirt piles on-
site, to place a double layer of plywood over the walkway and to raise the black netting connecting
the slab to slab as construction progresses. The contractor's insurance company has been notified
and claim forms have been made available to the marina tenants as well as a pressure cleaning
service to remove any splattered concrete.
