RESOLUTION NO, 2001-24484
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF
$600.00, $300.00 EACH FROM TREMONT TOWING AND BEACH TOWING,
FOR USE BY THE MIAMI BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT'S PUBLIC
SAFETY COMMUNICATIONS UNIT OUTSTANDING EMPLOYEE OF THE
MONTH RECOGNITION PROGRAM,
WHEREAS, the Police Department's Public Safety Communications Unit has a
program where one employee per month is recognized for outstanding performance; and
WHEREAS, the employee selected has their photograph placed on a plaque with
others who have been so named, receives a privileged parking space, and receives a
check for $25.00; and
WHEREAS, the funds used for this purpose for the last year were donated by a
local bank and have been depleted; and
WHEREAS, Tremont Towing and Beach Towing have generously agreed to
donate $300.00 each for a total of $600,00 to fund the recognition program for one year.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND
CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAM BEACH, FLORIDA, that the
Mayor and City Commission, herein accept the donation of $600.00, $300.00 each from
Tremont Towing and Beach Towing, for use by the Miami Beach Police Department's
Public Safety Communications Unit Outstanding Employee of the Month Recognition
Program.

ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
Adopt the Resolution,
ANALYSIS
The Police Department's Public Safety Communications Unit selects one employee per month and
recognizes them for outstanding performance. The employee selected has their photograph placed on a
plaque with others who have been so named, receives a privileged parking space, and receives a check for
$25.00. The funds used for the $25.00 over the last year were donated by a local bank and have been
depleted.
Tremont and Beach Towing have generously agreed to provide $300.00 each for a total of$600.00
to fund the recognition program for one year.
The Administration recommends that the Mayor and City Commission adopt this Resolution
accepting this generous donation to recognize our hard working and dedicated employees of the
Police Department's Public Safety Communications Unit.
