WHO: Publc Affairs Events Committee of the Village of El Portal WHEN: Tuesday, February 24, 2008 WHERE: Village Hall-500 Northeast 87t" Street DETAILS: The purpose of the event is to share information on those in Black culture who have made an impact in history while allowing others to taste the foods that are considered "Soul Foods". The neighborhood schools will be invited to each bring a select 25 students from 12noon until 2pm. At 6pm, the villagers and others will be invited for history reading and the State of the Village Address.
