SUBJECT: Collins Canal Volunteer Cleanup
The purpose of this LTC is to announce that the Community Resource and Outreach Team
has scheduled a volunteer cleanup for Saturday, May 9, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
ECOMB will provide volunteers from the Miami Beach community who will remove litter and
debris from both sides of the banks of the Collins Canal along Dade Boulevard. Each
person will submit a waiver. There will be approximately 50 volunteers. The City of Miami
Beach Parks Department, Police Department, Public Works Department and Parking
Department will provide support for the implementation of the project.
The City of Miami Beach continues to reach out to form partnerships in an effort to improve
the quality of life for residents. businesses and visitors.
