2001 UNITED STATES LIFESAVING ASSOCIATION'S
NATIONAL LIFEGUARD CHAMPIONSHIPS
You are cordiaIly invited to attend the Foster's 2001 United States Lifesaving Association's National
Lifeguard Championships presented by Chevy Trucks, to be held on August 9 -II, 2001, between Eighth and
10th streets on the beach.
Over 600 Jr. lifeguards and 700 professional lifeguards will be competing in this national event. The Jr.
competition will be held on August 9th beginning at 9:00 A.M., and the professional lifeguard competition
begins at 8:00 A.M. on Friday and Saturday. Participants wiIl compete in events including the distance run,
distance swim, rescue board race, swim relay, beach flags, surfboat, surf ski, and landline race.
In addition to the daily competitions you and a guest are invited to attend the foIlowing social events:
. Thursday - August 9th_ Jr. Lifeguards Post Competition Party (barbecue) at the 10th Street
Auditorium beginning at 7:00 P.M.
. Friday - August 10th -VIP Reception at the Park Central Hotel (upper lobby) begins at 7:00 P.M.
. Saturday - August 11th - Professional Lifeguards Post Competition Party at Crobar, 1445
Washington Avenue 7:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M.
Your non-transferable VIP event credentials as weIl as a competition program will be delivered to your
offices on Wednesday, August 8, 2001.

Untied States and experience the excitement of the Foster's 2001 USLA National Lifeguard Championships!
