SUBJECT: URBAN INFILL AND REDEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE GRANT
In January 2001, the City was awarded an Urban In~ll and Redevelopment Assistance Planning
Grant by the Florida Department of Commtmity Affairs (DCA) in the amount of $40,000. The City
identified the area between 4~h and 7th Streets, and Alton Road and Collins Avenue as the target area
for this project, which will enable the stakeholders in the area to engage in a collaborative and
holistic planning process.
The Administration has entered into agreement with the South Florida Regional Planning Council
(SFRPC) to facilitate the stakeholder meetings addressing the concems of the community and grant.
There will be five meetings scheduled from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The tentative dates are October
23, and November 27, 2001; and January 15, February 26 and April 19, 2002. The locations are to
be determined. You will be notified of the meeting locations once finalized.
