SUBJECT: YOUTH SPORTS EXPO
The Parks and Recreation Department cordially invites you to attend the Youth Sports Expo
on Sunday, September 9, 2001 from 1 :00 to 4:00 p.m. at Flamingo Park, 14th Street and
Meridian Avenue. This event will have free food and fun for the entire family, to include
music, amusements (Titanic Slide, Iceberg, Moonwalk and Rock Climbing Wall),
instructional sports clinics, games and sports activities. The Youth Sports Expo will mark
the start of registration for our Fall 2001 Miami Beach Youth Athletic Leagues including
Intramural and Traveling Soccer, Flag Football, Traveling Baseball, Roller Hockey and
Baseball Clinics. Florida International University Baseball Coach Danny Price and team
members will be present and will provide free instructional clinics. The Miami Sunblast
Soccer Club (co-sponsor of the Youth Traveling Soccer Program) will also be in attendance
and will provide free clinics and team tryouts from 1 :00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Your participation, as well as that of your children, family and friends, is greatly welcomed.
Come join us for a fun-filled day of activities and amusements for everyone!

Come join us as we kick-off the 2001 Fall Athletic Season
with FREE Games, Music, Instructional clinics and food.
Registration will be held for the 2001 Fall Athletic Programs:
Intramural and Traveling Soccer, Traveling Baseball, Baseball
Clinic, Flag Football League and Roller Hockey Clinic.
Additional registration September 10 - 14 at the following locations:
Scott Rakow Youth Center: 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p,m.
Police Athletic League: 11 :30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
North Shore Park: 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p,m.
Registration fee: $50 residents (scholarships available) $100 non-residents
VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT COACHES NEEDED!
PROOF OF CHILD'S AGE AND RESIDENCY IS MANDATORY
