A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF A 37" INSIGNIA
FLAT SCREEN DVD/CD COMBO TELEVISION VALUED AT $600, A WALL
BRACKET VALUED AT $200, AND THE COST ASSOCIATED WITH THE
INSTALLATION OF THESE ITEMS VALUED AT $200, FROM JORGE ALICIA,
GENERAL MANAGER OF BEST BUY CO., INC. LOCATED AT 1101 5~'
STREET, MIAMI BEACH, TO BE UTILIZED BY THE MIAMI BEACH POLICE
DEPARTMENT FOR TRAINING PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Jorge Alicia, General Manager, of the Best Buy Co., Inc., located at 1101 Stn
Street, Miami Beach, would like to donate a 37" Insignia flat screen DVD/CD combo television
valued at $600 and a wall bracket valued at $200; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Alicia has graciously agreed to install the wall bracket and the 37" Insignia
flat screen DVD/CD combo television, and waive the $200 cost associated with the installation;
and
WHEREAS, Best Buy Co., Inc. is a new business in the South Beach area, and in the interest
of good will, Mr. Alicia would like to donate these items and services to the City of Miami Beach;
and
WHEREAS, the 37" Insignia flat screen DVD/CD combo television will be installed in the
Miami Beach Police Department Training Room and shall be utilized for training purposes and
other law enforcement activities of the Miami Beach Police Department; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, accept a donation of a 37"Insignia
flat screen DVD/CD combo television valued at $600, a wall bracket valued at $200 and the cost
associated with the installation of these items valued at $200 from Jorge Alicia, General
Manager of Best Buy Co., Inc. located at 1101 5th Street, Miami Beach, Florida, to be utilized by
the Miami Beach Police Department for training purposes..

Street, Miami Beach. As a new business in the South Beach area and with an interest of good will Mr.
Alicia would like to donate on behalf of Best Buy a 37" flat screen Insignia television with aDVD/CD combo
valued at $600, a wall bracket valued at $200, and the $200 installation fee to the Miami Beach Police
Department. The television will be installed in the Miami Beach Police Department Headquarters Building
