SUBJECT: Historic Preservation Board Resolution -Acknowledgement of Allan Hall
Attached, please find a copy of a resolution adopted by the Historic Preservation Board at
their December 8, 2009 meeting. The Board is urging the City Commission to formally
acknowledge Mr. Allan Hall for six (6) years of dedicated service on the Historic Preservation
Board.
The Administration recommends that the Commission consider this request on the next
available agenda.

HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board is charged by
Ordinance as searing in an advisory capacity to the City Commission and other City Boards
on issues affecting the City's architecture, design, historic districts and structures; and
WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Board is a leading advocate in the efforts of
the City to promote and enhance its unique social and architectural history and to improve
the appearance of its streets and neighborhoods and the quality of life of its residents; and
WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Board is composed of volunteer members
who care deeply about the architectural and social history of the City; and
WHEREAS, Allan Hall, Esq., has served on the Historic Preservation Board for
six years; and .
WHEREAS, Mr. Hall has served this Board as its Chair; and
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hall has completed his allotted time for service on the Board;
WHEREAS, Mr. Hall has brought to the Board his expertise in matters legal,
structural, and architectural.
THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved that the Historic Preservation Board recommends to
the Miami Beach City Commission that the Commission award a Certificate of Appreciation
to Mr. Allan Hall for his six years of service on the Historic Preservation Board and,
especially, for his time as Board Chair when he confirmed the Board on a path of showing
efficiency, fairness, courtesy and respect to all who came before it.
