SUBIECT: Super Saturday Cleanup
The purpose of this LTC is to announce that City of Miami Beach Mayor Matti Her a e Bower
and Miami Dade County Mayor Codes Alvarez are hosting a Super Saturday Cleanup on
Miami Beach, Saturday, January 23, 2010.
The beach cleanup will take place from 5 to 19 Streets. It is part of Mayor Alvarl
Volunleensm Initiative and the County wide volunteer effort to get neighborhoods prepared
For the 2010 Pro Bowl and Super Bowl Games. Volunteers will be provided through the
Environmental Coalition of Miami Beach (ECOMB). They will meet at the beach at 10
Street at 9:00 a.m. and work until noon.
The City of Miami Beach initiative Is being organized by the Community Resource and
Outreach Team. The City of Miami Beach Parks and Public Works Departments will Frei
supplies for the event. Volunteers will be provided with - V't shirts, gloves and garbage
bags. Teams of two will pick up iii and separate into trash and recyclables. Miami Dade
County's Parks Department will pick up the fresh bags from the beach.
