SUBJECT: Community Conversation at the 21 ` treet Teen Center
You are cordially invited to attend as the City of Miami of Beach Parks and Recreation
Department hosts the first annual Community Conversation. This event will be held at the
21St Street Teen Center on Friday, March 26, 2010 from 5:30PM - 8:OOPM. Event attendees
will enjoy a complimentary dinner and dynamic presentations. Speakers will inform families
and neighbors in the community about underage drinking, drug use, strengthening families,
gang violence, housing, obesity and mental health.
The Teen's Drama Club (the Miami Beach Players) will be performing various skits on
issues that affect teens in the community. The 21St Street Band will perform live for the very
first time. The Miami Beach Teen Club has partnered with such organizations as The Miami
Beach Coalition, The Village, The Miami Coalition and SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and
Mental Health Services Administration) to make this Community Conversation a great
success. Please come and join our initiative as we work together to build a better future for
our youth, their families and our community.
