SUBJECT: Police Memorial Ceremony
This Letter to Commission is to invite you to attend the Miami Beach Police Memorial
Ceremony on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 10:00 a.m, takiing place at the monument in front of
the Miami Beach Police Station.
The Memorial Ceremony is the one day each year where we formally honor those Miami
Beach Police Officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.
You are also invited to join Chief Noriega as well as many members of the Miami Beach
Police Department and Miami Dade's law enfocement community at the Police Memorial
Ceremony for all ofMiami-Dade County that same evening. This ceremony will take place at
7:00 p.m. at Tropical Park (7900 S.W. 40th Street) and will honor all the recorded fallen
heroes from throughout Miami-Dade County. Chief Noriega, along with Erica Rakow, the
daughter of tragically slain Miami Beach Police Officer Scott Rakow, will be the keynote
speakers for this solemn event.
