CIT"r ._~~;. 5 0`~~ To: Mayor Matti Herrera Bower and Members of the City Commission From: Jorge M. Gonzalez, City Manager Date: April 28, 2010 Subject: Evaluation Committee Related to est for Proposals (RFP) No. 24-09/10 -Management and/or Development of the Byron Carlyle Theater. The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 24-09/10, which seeks to evaluate proposals and select a firm to manage and/or develop the Byron Carlyle Theater Complex. I am considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee on the subject RFP: o Sol Genet, Vice-Chair of the Cultural Arts Council o Eric Lawrence, North Beach Resident o Liliam Lopez, President/CEO of the South Florida Hispanic Chamber and former CAC Member o Joyce Meyers, Principal Planner o David Philips, CFO of the New World Symphony o Alan Randolph, North Beach Resident o Daniel Veitia, North Beach Resident Except for Ms. Lopez, the members of this Evaluation Committee are the same group who evaluated proposals for the Byron Carlyle Theater in 2008. I felt it was best to maintain this continuity on the Committee as they already understood the City's goals as it pertains to this RFP. I would appreciate your comments and/or suggestions by Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Thank you. c: Hilda Fernandez, Assistant City Manager Max Sklar, Tourism and Cultural Development Department Director Gus Lopez, Procurement Division Director F:Vnfo\$ALL\Max\TCD\MBCC\Evaluatlon Committe MBCC Managment LTC.doc
