SUBJECT: CityVision #34 -Now Airing on TV77
The purpose of this LTC is to inform you of the most recent CityVision show now airing on
MBTV-77. As part of Miami Beach's ongoing efforts to provide enhanced information about
the City to the community, "CityVision," a 30-minute news magazine video show, illustrates
the City's .progress in meeting the goals of our strategic plan and provides information to our
residents on current events, programs and services that affect them. Attached for your
.review and reference is a DVD copy of this latest edition.
The June/July 2010 edition of CityVision, shot inside the Bass Museum of Art, features the
following news stories:
• A report on the current budget gap facing fhe city, including resident input;
• A virtual tour of our new online customer support center;
• A recap of Earth Day events presented by the City, including the first "fun run" and
employee farmer's market;
• Details on an emotional lesson for Miami Beach teens about drinking and driving;
and,
• A look at the new Egyptian Gallery at the Bass Museum; including details about the
ancient mummy on display.
The show also includes student reaction to the completed renovation of Miami Beach High
School, a recap of the improvements in Normandy Shores constructed by our CIP office,
and video of the first community design workshop regarding the Miami Beach Convention
Center's new master plan.
CityVision is produced by the Office of Communications and is available for viewing on the
City's Web site, www.miamibeachfl.gov, and on www.youtube.com/cityofmiamibeach.
