SUBJECT: FDOT Roadway Project on Collins Avenue from 26th Street to Indian Creek Drive
` The purpose of this LTC is to advise you that on Monday July 12, 2010, Florida'Department of
_ ~ Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to begin a milling and resurfacing project along Collins Avenue
from 26th Street to Indian Creek Drive.
The Project includes some drainage .improvements, replacement. of sidewalks and pedestrian
ramps, and replacing. and upgrading. traffic and .pedestrian signs and signals.
The project is anticipated to last about 7 months at an estimated cost.of $1.47 million. FDOT's
construction announcement is attached for your deference.

Project Overview
On Monday, July 12, the Florida Department of
Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to begin a Roadway
Project along Collins Avenue/State Road (S.R.) A1A from
26th Street to Indian Creek Drive.
This project includes:
• Putting in drainage
• Repaving and restriping the road
• Replacing sidewalk and pedestrian ramps
• Replacing and upgrading traffic and pedestrian signs
and signals.
This project will last about seven months and cost an
estimated $1.47 million.
Traffic Flow
To complete this work safely, it will be necessary to close
traffic lanes and sidewalks at times. Tasks will be done in
stages to minimize the impact on the community.
At least one lane will be open in each direction at all times.
Entrances to homes and businesses will be kept open. Bus
stops will not be affected.
Please note that this schedule may change due to bad
weather or other unexpected conditions.

Description del Proyecto
EI dia lunes, 12 de Julio, el Departamento de Transporte de
la Florida (FDOT) tiene programado comenzar un Proyecto
de Carretera a to largo de la Avenida Collins/Carretera
Estatal (S.R.) A1A desde la Calle 26 hasta Indian Creek
Drive.
Este proyecto incluye:
• Instalar drenaje
• Repavimentar y aplicar de nuevo las franjas en la
Carretera
• Remplazar aceras y rampas de peatones
• Remplazar y mejorar senates y letreros de trafico y de
peatones.
EI proyecto durara alrededor de siete meses y su costo
esta estimado en aproximadamente $1.47 millones.
Circulation Vehicular
Para completar este trabajo con seguridad, sera necesari
cerrar carriles de trafico y aceras en ciertos momentos. EI
trabajo sera construido en etapas para disminuir los efectos
de la construction en la comunidad.
Se mantendra al menos un carril abierto en cada direction.
Las entradas a las casas y comercios se mantendran
abiertas en todo momento. Las paradas de autobuses no
seran afectadas.
Estas fechas pueden cambiar segun las condiciones
del tiempo y otras condiciones imprevistas.

however, you might experience one or more of the following while
driving, walking or biking through the project area:
• Lane closures
• Sidewalk closures
• Street closures
• Increased dust and noise
• Heavy equipment and personnel moving around work zones

people and reduce fatalities in motor vehicle crashes.
• Give yourself a little extra time to reach your destination.
• Obey all signs posted within the construction zone.
