SUBJECT: CityVision #35 -Now Airing on MBTV77
The purpose of this LTC is to inform you of the most recent "CityVision" now airing on
MBTV-77. Attached for your review and reference is a DVD copy of the latest program.
As part of Miami Beach's ongoing efforts to provide enhanced information to the community,
the Office of Communications produces a 30-minute video news magazine that illustrates
the City's progress in meeting the goals of its strategic plan. The show also provides
information on current events, programs and services.
The August/September 2010 edition of "CityVision" features the following news stories:
• New, yet historic, clubhouse at the Normandy Shores Golf Club;
• Ramped up education and code enforcement efforts on the beach this summer;
• Lessons on the International Baccalaureate style of learning;
• Details on the new community garden at Pine Tree Park;
• See how a crime prevention program has come full circle;
• Efforts to raise money for Haitian relief through the Rock for Haiti benefit concert;
• Improvements coming to North Shore Park's band shell and UNIDAD's North Beach
Oceanfront Senior Center; and the Scott Rakow Youth Center; and,
• Miami Heat superstars are given the keys to our city during a welcome ceremony at
American Airlines Arena.
