SUBJECT: Ribbon Cutting Celebration For The Normandy Shores Neighborhood Projects
This Letter to Commission is intended to remind you of the ribbon cutting event on Thursday,
September 16, 2010, celebrating the magnificent transformation of the Normandy Shores
neighborhood. The date and time of the event was previously placed on your calendars, and
we have been working with the Homeowners Association on the event.
As you know, the Normandy Shores neighborhood has received over $20 million in G.O.
Bond-funded improvements, including new streetscape, a rebuilt Fairway Park pavilion,
sports field lighting, a reconstructed golf course and a new, historically accurate reproduction
of the original golf clubhouse, which now features modern amenities.
As per the attached invitation, the ribbon cutting will begin at 5:00 P.M. at the Normandy
Shores Golf Club Clubhouse, followed by a presentation to the Commission by the
Homeowners Association. Some golfing activities will be available after the formal event.
We hope you can join us and the residents of the Normandy Shores community to celebrate
these long-awaited and much-anticipated improvements.
