SUBJECT: "KRISTALLNACHT" - PARKING
The Mayor and several Commissioners have recently inquired as to how the City may
accommodate the parking needs of an upcoming event at the Holocaust Memorial.
"Kristallnacht" will be held at the Holocaust "Memorial" on Sunday, November 7, 2010,
commencing at 6:00 PM and ending at approximately 8:00 PM. Due to other set -up activities
the Convention Center surface lot is not available. The following parking accommodations
have been secured for this event:
• Municipal Parking Lot No. 33, located on 19th Street between Meridian Avenue and
Convention Center Drive (immediately adjacent to the Memorial), will be available for
disabled parking.
Additionally, The Memorial has agreed to provide shuttle services to the following parking
facilities.
• Miami Beach Golf Course Parking Lot, located at 2301 Alton Road.
• Miami Beach Senior High School "Bus Lane" (accessible from Dade Boulevard),
located on Dade Boulevard and Prairie Avenue. (Overflow Parking)
The aforementioned parking plan will provide over 200 parking spaces to serve this event.
The Memorial has agreed to provide insurance certificates naming the City; PCM
(Professional Course Management); and Miami Beach High School as "additional insured ".
Additionally, the Memorial is responsible for notifying all of their attendees of these parking
accommodations either beforehand or on the day of the event.
The Memorial representatives are appreciative and have agreed to these accommodations.
