At the January meeting of the City of Miami Beach Golf Advisory Committee Par 3 current concept layout, which included the golf course, jogging paths, a splash pad, tennis courts and tot -lot was presented to the members. Members of the Golf Advisory Committee also attended the Par 3 community presentation held at the Miami Beach Golf Club on March 28, 2011. At that meeting the Golf Advisory Committee members expressed their concerns related to the conflict of mixed uses i.e. the tot -lot and splash pad next to the golf course and the safety issues this would pose. The matter again was discussed at the April 5, 2011 Golf Advisory Committee. Following the discussion the following motion was made and passed. The members requested it be forwarded to the Administration and Commission for further action: MOTION: The Miami Beach Golf Advisory Committee recommends the Par 3 Golf Course should be used only as a golf course.
