The purpose of this Letter to Commission (LTC) is to inform you that our latest edition of
CityVision is, currently airing on.MBTV77,. As you know, CityVision is part of Miami-Beach's
ongoing efforts `to provide enhanced information about the City to our community.
The August/September edition. of " CityVision" features the following newsworthy stories:
The Planned Pro ress se ment shows us how nine 9 neighborhoods across the

City are getting improvements thanks to our Office of Capital Improvement. Projects;
• The young men on our Parks & Recreation Department's traveling soccer team kick
their.way to the National Championships;
• Our City recently picked up several accolades; see how the awards positively impact
our vision for making Miami Beach ,a better place to live, work and play;
• Miami Beach Ocean Rescue demonstrates, how to "break- the grip'' a rip current
and what to do to stay safe; and
• The Miami Beach Botanical Garden is closed while undergoing a beautiful landscape -
makeover.
Other stories -in this edition of "CityVision" include a Sleepless Night 2011 preview; a profile
on Ocean Rescue Lifeguard Cynthia Aguilar who paddled her way to a.world record; a look
at how our City is treating the pesky whitefly; and.the show features.a young man Whose life
is being positively impacted through the City's 'Success University" program.
This .edition was filmed; on the set, of "Suds" at the Byron Carlyle, Theater. It's the first
musical to grace the stage thanks to the new agreement between- the City and the Miami
Beach Stage Door Theater..
