SUBJECT: SCOTT RAKOW YOUTH CENTER ADVISORY BOARD MOTIONS
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to transmit to you two (2) motions adopted by the Scott
Rakow Youth Center Advisory Board at their meetings of November 17, 2011 and January 19, 2012
meetings:
1) Parking on the swale on the Par 3 Golf Course.
The Board acknowledges the need for additional parking due to the high demands of usage.
MOTION: The Scott Rakow Youth Center Advisory Board unanimously requests that the City
modify the proposed Par 3 plans to allow for parking on the swale as needed by the Scott
Rakow Youth Center patrons.
Members Present: Paul Stein, Jeff Graff, Dana Turken, Stephanie Rosen, Esther Egozi Choukroun
and Annette Cannon.

2) The need for a fence enclosing the new playfield which was completed as part of the
construction project completed in December, 2010.
The Board recognizes that dogs are constantly being walked or running loose on the new playfield
and a permanent fence would keep the area clean and safe for the children that attend the Scott
Rakow Youth Center.
MOTION: The Scott Rakow Youth Center Advisory Board unanimously requests that the City
install a fence around the Scott Rakow Youth Center playfield for the safety of the children that
attend the Youth Center.
