SUBJECT: Collins Avenue and Harding Avenue Roadway Project
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to inform you that the Florida Department of
Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to begin construction of a roadway project today, Monday, April
9, 2012. The -work will be on Collins Avenue and Harding Avenue in North Beach. The construction
limits on Collins Avenue are from 75 Street to beyond the City limits,. where Collins Avenue
intersects with Harding Avenue in-Surfside. The limits on' Harding Avenue are from Indian Creek to-
75 Street. The scheduled duration is nine (9) months.
In order forr the work to be carried out safely, the traffic control plan will require lane closures at
certain times. In order to inform residents of the lane closures and other construction detail's, FDOT
will . provide the necessary information in its website ( www.fdotmiamidade.com ). In addition the
attached project fact sheets (See Attachement,A and B) will be distributed throughout the project
area.
