SUBJECT: Personnel Board Group Election
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 93 -2868, the Office of the City Clerk commenced election
procedures to elect the employee representative of Group 3 for the Personnel Board, forthe
term commencing August 1, 2012 and. ending July 31, 2015. Group 1 consists of the
•
employees of the Police Department, Fire Department and Beach Patrol Division. Group 2
consist of employees who are in clerical and executive positions.- Group 3 consist of all -
other employees.
On June 11, 2012, a notice was sent to eligible Group 3 employees informing them that an
election. had been called to elect the Group 3 employee representative to the Personnel
Board. The notice -was disseminated via, e- mail to the , Directors, Division
Directors, and Management Team, with instructions to post and distributethe notice among
their employees. Group 3 employees had from•Monday, June 7 18, 2012 to Friday, June 29,
2012 to declare their interest in qualifying to run as the Group 3 employee representative on.
the Personnel Board
The incumbent to the Group 3 seat, Ms. Evette L. Phillips, Storekeeper I from the Parks &
Recreation Department, was the only employee who filed to fill the vacancy in Group 3;
therefore,..Ms. Phillips was.deemed elected. without opposition as the Group-3 employee
representative to the Personnel Board, to fill the three' -year term ending on July 31, 2015.

Ms. Evette L. Phillips, from the Parks & Recreation Department, was the.only employee
who. filed to run as Representative of Group 3; therefore, Ms. Phillips was elected
without opposition as Representative of Group 3 for the Personnel Board for the three-
year term ending on July 31, 2015.
