WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City
Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, b~ petitions of civic
organizations presented to said City Council by said organizations,
that there exists in said City a shortage of dwelling accommodations
in the City of Miami Beach available to white persons of low incomes
at rentals which they can afford and that there is therefore a
necessity that a Housing Authority be created in said City of Miami
Beach, Florida,
NOW, TH~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCYL OF THE CITY
OF MIAM~ BEACH, FLORIDA, that because of said petitions and on its
own findings, it does hereby declare that there exists in said City
of Miami Beach the necessity for the creation of a Housing Authority
due to the fact that there is a shortage of dwelling accommodations
available to white persons of low incomes at rentals they can afford,
and
BE IT FURTHERRESOLVED that the City Clerk of said City notify
the Mayor of said City of this resolution and of this finding of
necessity by the City 0ouncll.
