SUBJECT: MiaGreen Expo & Conference
This Letter to Commission is provided to inform you of the City's participation at the MiaGreen
Expo & Conference this year, in our efforts to promote the City's sustainable initiatives.
This year's MiaGreen Expo & Conference will be held on Thursday, January 31 and Friday,
February 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The City will be
showcasing our sustainable initiatives, including the City's recycling campaign. Since 2009, with
the support of the Sustainability Committee, Miami Beach has participated in the MiaGreen
Expo & Conference.
We would like to invite you to attend the Expo and Conference on Thursday, January 31. At
9:00 a.m. in Room A209, Vice Mayor Michael Gongora will welcome the event attendees and
make the opening remarks. At 10:30 a.m. in the Exhibit Hall, Commissioner Jerry Libbin, Chair
of the Sustainability Committee, will discuss the Sustainability Committee's commitment to
promoting a more sustainable community. The City will also have an informational booth on the
expo show floor where we will distribute educational material and highlight the City's
sustainability efforts. Members of the Sustainability Committee will be assisting during the event.
