SUBJECT: Miami Beach Traveling Soccer Team Recent Success
This Letter to Commission is provided to announce the recent victories of the City of Miami
Beach Parks & Recreation's U9, U10 and U15 Traveling Soccer Teams.
The Miami Beach U9 and U 10 Traveling Soccer teams both claimed the championship trophy at the
Weston Cup & Showcase Tournament on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Central Park Soccer Field
in Plantation, FL. For the U9 team, this marks the first tournament championship. The Miami Beach
U 10 team earned its first tournament win of the season in the Weston Cup and remains undefeated
in the 2012 -2013 season! The City of Miami Beach is extremely proud of its U9 and U10 soccer
teams for their Championship victories!
Additionally, the Miami Beach U15 team claimed the championship trophy of the South Florida
United Youth Soccer League (SFUYSA) with a 2 -1 victory over Weston Nike on Sunday February
10, 2013 at Plantation's Pine Island Park. Following their SFUYSA League Championship, the
Miami Beach U15 team will now play in the Florida Youth Soccer Association's Region A Cup,
where they will have an opportunity to play for a Division II Title! Best of luck to a team of
champions!
