SUBJECT: Evaluation Committee Relative to Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 01 -2013, for
Unarmed Security Guard Services
The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the Request for Proposals
(RFP) No. 01 -2013, which seeks to establish an agreement with a qualified firm to provide unarmed
security guard services.
The City has received 12 responses pursuant to this RFP. Responsive proposals will be reviewed by
the Evaluation Committee in accordance with the criteria established in the RFP. The Evaluation
Committee will recommend to the City Manager the proposer(s) that it deems to be the best
candidate(s).
I am considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:
• Miguel Beingolea, Parking Operations Manager
• John Bowes, Normandy Shores Neighborhood Association
• Brian Sliman, Major, Police Department
Michael Silverman, Resident and Leadership Academy Graduate
• Carlos Alvarino, Resident and Leadership Academy Graduate
Andrew Plotkin, Park Facility Manager of North Shore Park Youth Center and
Tennis Center
• Anthony Kaniewski, Director, Property Management Division
am also considering the following individuals as alternates:
• Mark Overton, Assistant Chief of Police
Hector Pinol, Resident and Leadership Academy Graduate
