Morales, City Manag DATE: April 18, 2013 L SUBJECT: Arts in the Parks Additions The City's Arts in the Parks program has added two new free live shows. This Sunday, April 21 the Atlanta -based band STOKESWOOD will perform in Lummus Park (opposite the Clevelander) at 3:00 p.m. Stokeswood has played several Miami clubs over the past few months and has generated quite a following for its unique combination of rock, pop, dance and electronics. This show will mark its Miami Beach debut. On Saturday, May 11 Miami Children's Theater (MCT) will present its production of SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, Jason Robert Brown's acclaimed song cycle, at the North Shore Band Shell at 7:00 p.m. The show stars ten talented high school seniors from around Miami -Dade County. Several MCT alumni have gone on to leading roles in Broadway and touring productions. MCT's famed summer camp, by the way, will be held at our Colony Theatre this year for the first time.
