CityVision Spring Edition ( #50) Now Airing on MBTV As part of Miami Beach's ongoing efforts to provide enhanced information about the City to the community, we are now airing the latest edition of "CityVision" on MBTV, our government access cable TV station. The Office of Communications produces the 30- minute news magazine show that illustrates the City's progress in meeting the goals of our strategic plan and provides information on current events, programs and services that affect Miami Beach viewers. The April / May 2013 edition of "CityVision" features the following newsworthy stories: • City Focus: Our Annual. Report to the Community highlights some of our successes over the last year. • Planned Progress: Capital projects on Sunset Islands are complete. This segment highlights the enhanced approach used, which will be implemented in other neighborhood projects. • Safety First: Our Police Department's "Crime Prevention Fair" shows residents how to prevent crime in our neighborhoods. • Next Generation: Our at -home literacy program fetiches young children skills they need to begin kindergarten. • Rec Review: We visit our senior programs at our park centers. r Our Environment: The City collaborated with FP &L to "green ". a home for low - income residents, which will save them water and electricity costs. • City Scene: Miami Beach celebrates 98 years while the Miami Beach Women's Conference celebrated the accomplishments of local women. • Other stories include a feature on the South Pointe Park Pier project and an introduction to our new City Manager Jimmy L. Morales.
