Granado, City Clerk DATE: May 2, 2013 SUBJECT: PERSONNEL BOARD VACANCIES At the February 4, 2013 Special Commission Meeting, Mayor Matti Herrera Bower requested a meeting of the City Attorney's Oversight Committee to review the duties and responsibilities of the Personnel Board. On April 29, 2013, the City Attorney's Oversight Committee met, and City Attorney Jose Smith and Chief Deputy City Attorney Donald Papy provided a detailed report of the duties, powers and composition of the Personnel Board. During the City Attorneys Oversight Committee meeting, Human Resources Director Sylvia Crespo- Tabak noted that there are currently three (3) vacancies in the Personnel Board, which are creating difficulties in attaining a quorum. In an attempt to fill these existing vacancies, attached are the applications and resumes of current applicants to the Personnel Board: • Harold Foster Currently serving on the Health Advisory Board • Lori E.
