A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, REMINDING SECURITY ALLIANCE OF
FLORIDA, LLC, THAT IT, LIKE ALL COVERED
EMPLOYERS, SHOULD COMPLY WITH ALL
FEDERAL LAWS GOVERNING THE RIGHT OF THEIR
EMPLOYEES,TO UNIONIZE.
WHEREAS, on May 1, 2007 the Mayor and City Commission of Miami Beach, Florida
authorized the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Security Alliance of Florida LLC,
to provide security services to the City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, in the interest of fairness, it is incumbent upon all covered employers,
including Security Alliance of Florida LLC, to comply with all federal laws that govern the rights
of their employees to organize in an effort to unionize; and
WHEREAS, compliance with all federal laws governing the rights of employees to
organize by Security Alliance of Florida LLC, will result in a positive working environment and
better service; and
WHEREAS, it is understood that compliance with all federal laws governing the rights of
employees to unionize will not affect the business relationship between the City of Miami Beach
and Security Alliance LLC ; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that Security Alliance of
Florida LLC, is reminded that it, like all covered employers, should comply with all federal laws
governing the rights of employees to organize.
