SUBJECT: Fourth of July— Independence Dbration
This Letter to Commission (LTC) is intended to inform you of the City's plans for the 4 th of
July and to invite you to participate. As you know, the City annually celebrates the Fourth of
July with a fireworks display on Ocean Drive. The event takes place at 8th Street east of
Ocean Drive at Lummus park; it is open to the general public at no charge. This year's
program entitled "Coca -Cola Presents Fire on the Fourth, Brought to you by the City of
Miami Beach And.Classical South Florida Radio" features the following performances:
Thursday, July 4, 2013, Ocean and 8 Street
7:00pm Welcome Remarks
7:05pm Nicole Henry
9:00pm Fireworks
The City also partnered with Classical South Florida Radio 89.7 FM to broadcast the
program live on the radio and a number of other event sponrors will have a presence during
the event.
Parking will be provided for you at the 7 th Street Garage. Please let me know if you are
planning to attend so we can bring you upon the stage either at 7pm or just before the
fireworks begin.
