SUBJECT: Hispanic Affairs Committee Motion o Hispanic Heritage Month
Please place an item on the July 17, 2013 agenda to discuss the following recommendation or
possibly adding an additional event.
The Hispanic Affairs Committee, on Monday, May 6, 2013, unanimously passed a motion to
recommend increasing the Miami Beach Parks & Recreation Department's Hispanic Heritage
Month event budget in an amount of up to $15,000 to be used at their discretion to enhance
the annual Hispanic Heritage Month event; such as, including more rides and entertainment.
