The purpose of this LTC is to invite you to the Community of Respect Anti-Bullying event
sponsored by the City of Miami Beach in partnership with the Anti-Defamation League
(ADL), Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS), and NBA professional Alonzo
Mourning, Jr. on Sunday, September 29, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at the North Shore
Bandshell (7275 Collins Avenue).
The goal of this community-wide activity is to bring together residents of Miami Beach to
support students, teachers, and parents, in creating a safe, peaceful, and respectful
community for all. The schedule for the evening is as follows:
6:30 p.m. Welcome
6:40 p.m. Overview Community of Respect & No Place for Hate Initiative
6:45 p.m. Alonzo Mourning Jr.
7:10 p.m. MB Teen Club "Spoken Word" performance
7:30 p.m. Viewing documentary "Bully"
9:00 p.m. Panel Discussion led by local experts*
9:15 p.m. Closing remarks
