The Budget Advisory Committee would like you to be aware of the attached motion regarding merit
increases for Unclassified Employees and other Non - Bargaining Unit Employees that are below the
maximum range of the City's pay scale, approved at their July 30, 2013, committee meeting.

Members Absent: Marc Gidney, Antonio Hernandez, Laurence Herrup, and Dushan Koller

Motion Text:
The Budget Advisory Committee requests the Mayor and Commission support merit increases for
unclassified and other non - bargaining unit employees that are below the maximum range of the
City's pay scale from 2% to 4% for fiscal year (FY) 2013114 given that unclassified and other non-
bargaining unit employees have been the subject of payroll freezes longer than the City's bargaining
units, resulting in recruitment and retention issues, and fairness in compensation across all line
bargaining and non - bargaining groups.
The Budget Advisory Committee urges the Mayor and Commission to support the above request.
