SUBJECT: Hispanic Heritage Festival
You are cordially invited to attend the City of Miami Beach's 8th Annual Hispanic Heritage Festival on
Friday, October 11, 2013 from 6:00 pm — 9:00 pm at the North Shore Park and Youth Center, 501
72nd Street. The City would like to thank the Miami Beach Medical Group for being this year's
supporting sponsor.
The Festival celebrates achievements and contributions of Latinos from past to present. Children
from the City's after school programs in grades K-12 will present an array of Latin dance
performances to music sung by popular Hispanic artists and groups. Additionally, the Miami Beach
Senior High Jazz Ensemble will be there to entertain the crowd and the City's Zumba instructor will
spice up the night with a mix of Latin music.
In addition to the festivities, notable Miami Beach Hispanics will be honored with the 2013 Hispanic
Heritage Month Award. This year's recipients, as selected by the Hispanic Affairs Committee, are:
