SUBJECT: City of Miami Beach Gun Buy B k Event
This Letter to the Commission will serve to inform you of the results of the first City of
Miami Beach Gun Buy Back event.
On October 12, 2013, the Miami Beach Police Department administered a Gun Buy
Back event at the North End Sub Station 6840 Indian Creek Drive, Miami Beach from
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. During the course of the event, 30 firearms were exchanged for
a total of $3,100 in Visa gift cards.
Following is a list of type of firearms received in this event:
• 20 handguns
• 2 shotguns
• 8 rifles
