SUBJECT: Evaluation Committee Relative to JRq uest for Proposals (RFP) No. 2013-317ME, for
Emergency Shelter Beds to Serve meless Population.
The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the Request for Proposals
(RFP) No. 2013-228ME, which seek proposals to provide emergency shelter beds to serve the
homeless population.
The City has received three (3) responses pursuant to this RFP. Responsive proposals will be
reviewed by the Evaluation Committee in accordance with the criteria established in the RFP.
am considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:
• Maria Ruiz, Director, Office of Community Services
• Lisa Ware, Chair of the Homeless Committee (Outgoing chair)
• Mark Wohl, resident and leadership Academy Graduate
• Reverend Pedro Martinez, HOP in Miami Beach
• Barbara Hawayek, Call Center/Customer Service Manager
I am also considering the following individuals as alternates:
• Reverend Hunter Thompson, Miami Beach Community Church
• Jonathan Kroner, Vice Chair of the Homeless Committee
• Annsheila Turkel, Homeless Committee
