A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.
2013-28272 TO ABOLISH THE WORKING GROUP ON NOISE
ESTABLISHED THEREIN.
WHEREAS, on July 17, 2013, Resolution No. 2013-28272 was adopted by the City
Commission which accepted the recommendation of the Finance and Citywide Projects
Committee to establish working groups to identify and implement procedures and monitoring
guidelines to address the recommendations of the Crowe Horvath Performance and
Operational Audit; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 2013-28272 established two working groups, an Internal
Working Group composed of City employees and a Working Group on Noise composed of both
City employees and citizens; and
WHEREAS, at the February 12, 2014 City Commission meeting, the City Commission
gave further consideration to the establishment of the Working Group on Noise due to the City
Administration's plan to provide opportunities for the public to give input at town hall meetings
as to the matters to be addressed by the Working Group on Noise; and
WHEREAS, in view of the City Administration's plan to provide opportunities for citizen
input as to noise related issues, the Working Group on Noise should be abolished.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Working Group on Noise
established pursuant to-Resolution 2013-28272 is hereby abolished.
