Morales, City Mana DATE: June 12, 2015 SUBJECT: Police Department Re-Accreditation Public Forum The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) has scheduled the Miami Beach Police Department for an On-Site Assessment as part of its re-accreditation process. As part of the On-Site Assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments at a Public Information Session scheduled for Monday, July 20, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. The session will be conducted at City Hall in the City Commission Chambers, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida 33139. Employees and members of the community are invited to attend in person or offer their comments by calling (305) 604-2280 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Comments will be taken by the CALEA Assessors. Persons wishing to submit written comments may send them to the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), 13575 Heathcote Boulevard, Suite 320, Gainesville, VA, 20155, (703) 352-4225, FAX (703) 890-3126 or by email to caleaCa�calea.org,. All comments should address the ability of the Miami Beach Police Department to comply with CALEA standards.
