RE: Notice of Late Reports
Dear Mr. Cody:
This letter is to inform you that we have not received your Campaign Reports 2015-R1
or 2015-R2. The 2015-R1 report was due on November 6, 2015, and covered the period
of October 30, 2015 through October 30, 2015. The 2015-R2 report was due on
November 13, 2015, and covered the period of October 31, 2015 through November 12,
2015. Please be advised that the 2015-M11 report will be due on December 10, 2015,
and covers the period of November 13, 2015 through November 30, 2015.
Pursuant to Florida Statutes §106.07(8)(b), upon determining that a report is late, the
filing officer shall immediately notify the candidate or chair of the political committee as
to the failure to file a report by the designated due date and that a fine is being
assessed for each late day. The fine shall be $50 per day for the first 3 days late and,
thereafter, $500 per day for each late day, not to exceed 25 percent of the total receipts
or expenditures, whichever is greater, for the period covered by the late report.
However, for the reports immediately preceding each special primary election, special
election, primary election, and general election, the fine is $500 per day for each late
day, not to exceed 25 percent of the total receipts or expenditures, whichever is greater,
for the period covered by the late report.
Please send the requested campaign reports as soon as possible to the City of Miami
Beach, do Office of the City Clerk, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida
33139.
