SUBJECT: Update on Request for Qualifica ions (RFQ) 2015-245-KB for the Architectural and
Engineering Design Services for the Lincoln Road District Improvements.
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (LTC) is to provide an update to the Mayor and City
Commission regarding the above-referenced RFQ.
At the December 9, 2015, the City Commission approved the issuance of the RFQ for Architectural
and Engineering Design Services for the Lincoln Road District Improvements based on the
approved Lincoln Road District Master Plan. The RFP has been issued and is currently due to be
received on January 26, 2016.
However, the Public Works Department is requesting that an addendum be issued to the RFQ to
incorporate road and drainage improvements necessary to correct aged and unreliable underground
infrastructure concurrently with the aesthetic improvements to Lincoln Road. In addition, the
addendum modifies the Proposer's minimum requirements to ensure the Prime Proposer, if not an
Engineering Firm, to include an Engineering Firm qualified to design roadways, drainage, water and
sewer systems. Adding these improvements to the Lincoln Road District project now will reduce
business disruption and inconvenience if these infrastructure improvements are contemplated after
the project is complete.
The subject RFQ addendum is attached and will be released on January 15, 2016. If you have any
