RESOLUTION NO. 2016-29372
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
STREET DESIGN GUIDELINES ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT A.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has developed a Bicycle Pedestrian Master Plan
as part of the development of a comprehensive multi-modal Transportation Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Bicycle Pedestrian Master Plan includes over 40 miles of recommended
projects that could be implemented over the next 20 years which have been incorporated into
the Transportation Master Plan project bank; and
WHEREAS, the Miami Beach Street Design Guidelines, attached hereto as Exhibit A
and incorporated herein, were developed for use by City staff by Street Plans Collaborative for
above ground right-of-way improvements for City streets for projects that are not part of the
Transportation Master Plan project bank because the latter projects have defined criteria; and
WHEREAS, the Street Design Guidelines provide implementable solutions to create
more efficient and safe transportation facilities and opportunities in the City of Miami Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby adopt the Miami Beach Street Design Guidelines attached hereto as Exhibit
A.

Exhibit A is 135 pages and is entitled "Miami Beach Street Design Guidelines." This
document is located on the City Clerk's website under "Agenda Archives" for the April
13, 2016 City Commission Agenda. Exhibit A was hand-delivered to the Mayor and the
City Commissioners as an attachment to LTC No. 146-2016.
The Exhibit A document will be attached to the final executed Resolution and will be
made part of the City Clerk's records for this agenda item.
